Longtime lurker here, With a population of 36,237, Socorro is a smaller city. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thoughts? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Bought a house here in 2019 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much stable but now it's decent.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Eastside area are decent. Kids love it here.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The healthcare is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
