With a population of 13,117, Soddy-Daisy is a small town. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great BBQ places. it was the best decision I ever made.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Seattle about 11 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is tough.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The walkability scene is tough
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.
