Things that make Somerset unique

We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $1,313 for rent here. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thoughts? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Meadowbrook area are excellent. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- The nightlife scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
