Random thought, Just moved here 11 months ago and Poverty rate is 13.3%, which is around average. With a population of 5,984, Somerset is a small town. The median home value here is around $144,400, which is actually reasonable. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What are your go-to spots? The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
