Somerton vs Memphis -which is better?

Average temperature is around 76--F, so it's warm year-round. You can expect to pay around $909 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Somerton sits at 214.7 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What would you do? The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
