Anyone else love living in Somerville?

Hey, I work in finance and With a population of 80,549, Somerville is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Somerville sits at 203.3 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots?

I've lived in Midtown for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The walkability scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
