Internet providers in Somerville?

OK so It's a a smaller city city with about 80,549 people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Any advice would be great. Cheers. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in East area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from San Francisco about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Affordable housing options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to Austin it's underrated.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The housing market is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in construction. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a real estate agent, 46, moved here 1 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in Springfield and East, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Great outdoor activities nearby
3. Growing food and restaurant scene
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Chain restaurants dominate
2. Limited shopping options
3. The food scene situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Springfield: Great for couples. tough vibes, walkable.
- East: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $70K-$80K here.

**Final verdict:**
It's not for everyone but it works for us.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from New York about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 1 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
