I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely tough and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (West) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2021 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The community vibe is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in The Heights. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Asian.
