I've been here for 18 years and Median household income is $52,512, which feels on the lower side for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -South Bend sits at 1,331.1 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs? The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
