Is South Bend getting better or worse?
I've been here for 6 years and The median home value here is around $124,500, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $52,512, which feels on the lower side for the area. Rent is about $1,000/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
