What surprised you most about South Bend?

Curious what people think. Poverty rate is 17.0%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $52,512 in South Bend. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.
