Studio apartments in South Bound Brook -options?

Hi all, My family moved here when I was a kid. Rent is about $1,822/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 7.2%, which is concerning. Crime rate is something to consider -South Bound Brook sits at 21.9 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Eastside. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
