South Brooksville quality of life -am I missing something?

Hi all, I grew up here but left for a while. Poverty rate is 0.3%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,255/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 72--F, so it's warm year-round. You can expect to pay around $1,255 for rent here. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Easy commute
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited dining options
- High property taxes
- Boring for young people
- Far from major airports
- Not enough green space
Would love some local perspective. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
