Moving to South Daytona with kids -good idea?

So, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $210,500, which is actually reasonable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.
