Weekend activities in South Daytona?

With a population of 13,322, South Daytona is a small town. Poverty rate is 14.2%, which is around average. The median home value here is around $210,500, which is actually reasonable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. Worth the trade-offs? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The public transit is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Highland. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in finance. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Italian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for weather and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The healthcare is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in North for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cultural scene scene is decent

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The safety is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
