Is South El Monte still affordable?

Hey everyone, Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 19.2%, which is higher than I expected. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned?

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is excellent in most areas.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Eastside area are better than expected. Kids love it here.
