Freelancing from South Fulton -experience?

OK so Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $270,600, which seems about average. Household incomes average around $81,798 in South Fulton. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What are your go-to spots? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Oak Park. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in real estate. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from San Diego about 4 years ago. The main reasons were school and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Cedar Grove. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.
