Housing in South Fulton compared to Charlotte

I'm single, late 20s, and Rent is about $1,607/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Any help is appreciated.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much pricey but now it's pretty good.

Bought a house here in 2022 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
