Things South Fulton needs to improve

Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. Rent is about $1,607/month for a decent place. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What would you do? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Lakewood. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'm a real estate agent and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The community vibe is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I work in healthcare here and the quality of life is solid. The job market for my field is challenging. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
