It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Let me know your thoughts. Any help is appreciated. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in legal. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Italian.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..
