Relocating to South Gate, CA -pros and cons?

Hey folks, Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. With a population of 91,836, South Gate is a smaller city. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What are your go-to spots? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
