Top 5 things I love about South Laurel

Been meaning to ask this. Been living here since 2013. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. Median household income is $90,715, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,795 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 27,736 people. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Appreciate any input. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Meadowbrook. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in tech. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..
