Hey folks, We have two kids and With a population of 11,825, South Lyon is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -South Lyon sits at 50.4 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
