Housing in South Miami Heights compared to Albuquerque
Hello, Poverty rate is 12.4%, which is around average. Median household income is $64,657, which feels about average for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Is this normal for South Miami Heights?

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The safety scene is decent
The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..
