Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 6 years ago. The main reasons were work and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Good luck with whatever you decide..
