Remote worker thinking about South Pasadena

So, Poverty rate is 4.1%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,510/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $319,600, which seems about average. It's a a small town city with about 5,324 people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great Thai places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Came here for family and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
