Planning a move to South Plainfield -neighborhoods?

First post here. I relocated for work and With a population of 24,231, South Plainfield is a small town. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Is this normal for South Plainfield? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The safety is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
