Why I chose South Riding over bigger cities

Hello, I've been here for 2 years and Average temperature is around 55--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $689,400 on average. With a population of 34,200, South Riding is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $190,701 in South Riding. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's exactly what I was looking for. Compared to San Diego it's decent.
