Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks! The suburbs are where most families end up.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 5 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is hit or miss.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much wild but now it's hit or miss.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Old Town. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in legal. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
