Crime rate is something to consider -South Sioux City sits at 234.9 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great craft beer places. it's improved dramatically in recent years.
