Moving to South Valley with kids -good idea?

I'm a teacher here and With a population of 36,605, South Valley is a smaller city. It's a a smaller city city with about 36,605 people. The median home value here is around $205,200, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $51,062, which feels on the lower side for the area. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Anyone in a similar situation? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I work in consulting here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is improving. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
