Worst things about South Wenatchee nobody talks about

Alright, Been living here since 2005. Household incomes average around $61,959 in South Wenatchee. Homes are going for about $244,400 on average. It's a a small town city with about 1,083 people. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Good healthcare facilities
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Poor road conditions
- Far from major airports
- Homelessness issues downtown
Does this match your experience? TIA! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..
