What I wish I knew before living in Southchase

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. You can expect to pay around $1,798 for rent here. Median household income is $85,573, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Worth the trade-offs? The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've lived in West for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- The traffic scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The nightlife is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
