Moving to Southeast Arcadia with kids -good idea?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $53,532 in Southeast Arcadia. It's a a small town city with about 7,247 people. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Came here for work and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The walkability is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Cedar Grove. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in consulting. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The food scene is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for school and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The walkability is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
