First post here. Military spouse here. You can expect to pay around $1,102 for rent here. Household incomes average around $64,635 in Southgate. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Anyone in a similar situation? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
