Southwest Sandhill is underrated, change my mind
First post here. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Southwest Sandhill sits at 214.3 per 100K. With a population of 1,174, Southwest Sandhill is a small town. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
Pros:
- Close to nature
- Lots of new development
- Walkable downtown
- Active local events
Cons:
- Hot summers
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Not enough green space
Thoughts? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
