As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much stable but now it's improving.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to San Diego it's better than expected.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The outdoor recreation is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
