We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $1,417 for rent here. Rent is about $1,417/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Spanish Fork sits at 17.2 per 100K. With a population of 43,632, Spanish Fork is a smaller city. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Has anyone dealt with this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Greenfield for 13 years. Moved from San Francisco for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.
**Employment:**
government is strong here. healthcare is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have beaches within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are challenging. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Far from beaches/mountains. And traffic can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 5/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Bought a house here in 2020 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I've lived in South for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The food scene scene is decent
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.
I've been here 15 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into running, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Maple Ridge. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in government. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Definitely worth checking out..

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Springfield area are excellent. Kids love it here.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much affordable but now it's better than expected.
