Been living here since 2015. Crime rate is something to consider -Spanish Fork sits at 17.2 per 100K. Rent is about $1,417/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $444,200, which is pretty steep. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Worth the trade-offs? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Riverside. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in legal. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Southern.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Cedar Grove for 1 years. Moved from Salt Lake City for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is improving. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.
**Employment:**
finance is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Rising rent and home prices. And food scene can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 7/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
