Moving to Spanish Springs for work -advice?

Hey folks, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -Spanish Springs sits at 326.6 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 17,512 people. Homes are going for about $600,000 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Pine Hills. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in finance. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Korean.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
