Life in Sparta as a young professional

Hey folks, I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $190,100, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $954 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 4,260 people. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Any help is appreciated. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 4 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

I'm a software engineer and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is average and there's always something going on.
