Internet providers in Sparta?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm single, late 30s, and The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $38,542 in Sparta. Poverty rate is 16.6%, which is higher than I expected. Rent is about $583/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What would you do? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in West area are tough. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Dallas about 3 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Raleigh about 4 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Houston about 15 years ago. The main reasons were family and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is decent.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for school and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The housing market is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Old Town for 14 years. Moved from Atlanta for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is improving - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Old Town schools are pretty good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Dating scene is rough. And food scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 8/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in North. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in legal. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

- Winters are long and cold

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is decent.
