Anyone regret moving to Spencer?

Curious what people think. I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $860 for rent here. Poverty rate is 9.3%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $47,994, which feels on the lower side for the area. The median home value here is around $146,300, which is actually reasonable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I'm a electrician and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is average and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Westside for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good internet infrastructure
- The dating scene scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. No regrets on my end..
