Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. You can expect to pay around $1,247 for rent here. Household incomes average around $70,722 in Spokane Valley. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks! It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much manageable but now it's challenging.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is tough in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a HR manager who relocated here from New York about 2 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is decent.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Good luck with whatever you decide..
