Planning a move to Spokane Valley -neighborhoods?

Alright, What are your go-to spots? The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone about the same since then.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Fairview area are average. Kids love it here.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Minneapolis about 7 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Definitely worth checking out..
