Been a Spokane Valley resident for 5 years. Here's my honest take:
Pros:
- Strong job market
- Good schools
- Growing economy
Cons:
- Some areas are rundown
- Job market is niche
Overall I'd rate it 7/10. It's not perfect but I plan to stay long-term.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.
