Best kept secrets of Spring Hill, FL

So, Just moved here 8 months ago and It's a a mid-size city city with about 119K people. You can expect to pay around $1,301 for rent here. With a population of 119K, Spring Hill is a mid-size city. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 9.2%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Pros:
- Close to nature
- Low taxes
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Not very walkable
- Limited dining options
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Far from major airports
What do you all think? Thanks for reading. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Riverside. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in construction. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
