Hello, Just moved here 15 months ago and With a population of 119K, Spring Hill is a mid-size city. Median household income is $66,557, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 72°F, so it's warm year-round. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What are your go-to spots? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Midtown for 12 years. Moved from Tampa for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.
**Employment:**
legal is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Midtown schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Chain restaurants dominate. Limited shopping options. And dating scene can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 5/10. Happy to answer more specific questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much competitive but now it's hit or miss.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in The Heights. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The cost of living is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Riverside. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in finance. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 13 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a lawyer, 57, moved here 1 years ago from Charlotte. I've lived in The Heights and Midtown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Rising rent and home prices
3. The traffic situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- The Heights: Great for couples. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- Midtown: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Charlotte, everything felt surprisingly good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $40K-$80K here.
**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
