Anyone work in healthcare in Spring Valley?

So, My family moved here when I was a kid. Average temperature is around 67°F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $72,364 in Spring Valley. Median household income is $72,364, which feels about average for the area. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Appreciate any input. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The nightlife is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a nurse, 35, moved here 10 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in Cedar Grove and Meadowbrook, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Nightlife is limited
3. The cost of living situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Cedar Grove: Great for families. solid vibes, walkable.
- Meadowbrook: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are wild. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $60K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a real estate agent, 48, moved here 4 years ago from Baltimore. I've lived in Maple Ridge and West, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Four distinct seasons
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Not a lot of cultural diversity
3. The traffic situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Maple Ridge: Great for couples. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- West: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Baltimore, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $70K-$80K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
