Freelancing from Springdale -experience?

Hey, It's a a smaller city city with about 87,388 people. The median home value here is around $237,200, which is actually reasonable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? Thanks! Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Came here for work and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor recreation is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Westside for 5 years. Moved from Dallas for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2024 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. retail is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is solid - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Westside schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited high-paying job options. Far from beaches/mountains. And outdoor recreation can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 8/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I work in real estate here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is tough. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Denver it's underrated.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much growing but now it's better than expected.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is tough.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'm a lawyer and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is improving and there's always something going on.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The school system is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Eastside area are average. Kids love it here.
